Bottles, Liberty & Herbs! [Practical Patriot]

gavin seim - mason jars with herbsOh Liberty! That freedom from evil, tyranny and dependency on man that makes us Americans. It’s the opposite of things like Obamacare. Something I not only refuse because it’s lawless and unconstitutional. I don’t need it. So for the [Practical Patriot] post talk about bottles and herbs.

We casually study herbs and natural healing and can deal with most things that arise at our house with faith in the almighty, a simple dose of knowledge and 250 so herbs, tinctures, oils and preparations. All of which probably cost less than an average emergency room visit. Because long before modern drugs, we had plants, medicines that God does not charge patent fees or licensing on.

See I finally  learned that natural medicine is not the sacred ground of liberals and feminists. It’s a true resource we should not let disappear from our homes. Plus many herbs happen to be great for cooking. Something most liberal feminists know very little about 😉

The fine details of the herbs are a story for another day, though I’ll give you some good starter resources below. In today’s quick post I want to talk about storage. Between ordinary wide mouth Mason Jars for dried herbs and foods, to bottles and everything in between, organization keeps things safe, fresh and simple.

I use lots of Boston Round Bottles. Those dark amber GLASS rounds that have been used as long as anyone can remember. Some have caps, some droppers, others misters. If it’s liquid there’s probably a great bottle for it in here. Like mason jars, Boston Rounds are cheap, durable and the Amber variety keep light from things like tinctures, essential oils and other liquids, making them last. They come in sizes from less than an once to a quart or more.

Those little clear Dram vials are great for small preparations and powders like this tooth and gum formula we make for mouth conditions.

The round blue plastic jars are perfect for creams or other small things around the house. We make our own salves and ointments in those.

We keep things tidy with labels. I use a Brother Label Printer to crank them out and if I’m dealing with herbal items, I print the common and Latin name, storing dried herbs away alphabetically in drawers. I always double label medicinal items in case a label gets damaged. You always want to know what’s in your bottle.

You can get Boston Round Bottles and these other containers all over online, but I usually but them in bulk from Specialty Bottle Company.

A little on the herbs and studies. It’s needs a full post another day. But if you’re interested a couple of great supply sources are Penn Herb, and Mountain Rose Herbs. If you’re looking for essential oils check out Eden’s Garden. A great place to get away from the MLM fads and get quality herbal oils for about 1/4 the cost.

A great starter study book is the Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine. It’s just what the name implies, filled with color illustrations and information on nearly every medicinal herb, along with practical application. Another fabulous resource are the formulas from herbal pioneer, Dr John Christopher. His blends are for real and are there for the taking. I have made many of them with great results. This is stuff every family should know.botles

What started as today’s Facebook post turned into this article that I hope gets you thinking and gives you some more resources. It’s my belief that we need to trust our medical system and drugs a lot less. It’s not only cheaper and safer. It prepares us to better care of our families during whatever comes next. Always do your homework, but use your resources too. Whatever you use these for, they will make your life more organized.

Trust God first. Your brain second and government last of all. — Gav

Interested in learning about your products. I have no knowledge of these things, but am trying to build up a homestead.

I don’t sell health products Tim. I just talk about using them and being independent.

~I was wandering down a trail and came across your post. Thought I’ll try to post some encouraging words…for keeping a healthy family on garden and coop, with a stocked herbal pantry -takes some attention and application – but is not difficult. From age 11 on I have had very pleasing success utilizing the earth medicines …I have confidence in them for they are, afterall, a gift to us from our almighty creator.

Gavin, Last night I found your site, and I would like to say, thanks for your hard work, long hours, courageous actions and for the priceless information you share, that is the keystone, to training a nation of free people, howto bbecome good Stuarts, of those public employees, who have somehow, gotten confused about who they work for, and who is where in their chain of command. I look forward with great hope, that I may be able to declare my full support of all your public endeavor s, and one day call you my friend. You are important, impressive, rare and a pain in the rump to tens of thousands of confused or just plain tyrannical public servants. Many of them too self absorbed, to even see you and those you will inspire, as the iceberg that will soon roll over and sink their leaking boat. Thank you for the info about Boston bottles.
Lastly, may I suggest you peek into the benefits of RAW apple cider vinegar? Typing Braggs into Google or the like, will get ya started off. This one nanatural product, opened my eyes to herbs and oils and the 180 I’ve taken to seek Gods medical advice instead of Corp pill pushers.
Anyone being concerned with warnings obout their health, concerns of diabetes, or weight problem? Or simply consider this, why has your doctor prescribed you one pill after another, all with dangerous side effects, or asked you to make dietary changes to treat acid issues in the gut or throat, before suggesting you take one spoon full of a very healthy, natural product, with zero side effects, that has been proven safe for longer than the USA has existed? God bless you and God bless these United States of America
