To Honor Tyrants is Treason Against the King of Kings!

Obey Government. That’s what the bible says… Right?

Rights come from God. — Life, liberty and property are the foundations of all lawful law. But America has become a nation who honors (respect, admire, venerate) and obeys the wicked rather than Yahweh, The false doctrine of Romans 13 wearies the spirit of those who love God and their neighbor. Foolish Christians. Who hath deceived you that you should not obey the truth?

Romans is used every day to demand Christians honor and tolerate wicked and lawless government. An idea incongruous will scripture.

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”

I used to struggle with this also because the lie has been so commonly used . THEN I read what it says! — The lawless demand we obey government because they are the “higher” power. A false teaching negated by the very next sentence.. “There is no power” (G1849, authority) “but of God”. As such no man can exist in lawful AUTHORITY with actions in defiance to God. The passage makes this beautifully clear when read as it is written.

The Greek interlinear and Strongs numbers can help us understand fully. Yet Romans 13 self explains when we set aside the lie that has been spread throughout history. The ONLY higher authority in the passage is God. Those who are not in submission to his AUTHORITY receive damnation. The verses have nothing to do with obeying a tyranny and everything to do with obeying God’s law. This was understood at the founding of America when they stood up against England with an appeal to heaven.

To simplify. — When a magistrate acts outside the authority of law he ceases to have any authority. The only lawful authority is God’s authority and there can be no lawful authority except that authority; those who resist this resist God and will be judged.

We call a judge or legislators ruling “law”. Yet Jesus and his apostles violated the rulings of men and magistrates regularly. The laws of God they obeyed. We say, obey the laws of the land, but do not understand that “laws” of the land must comport with God’s natural law.  — So many have been blinded by false teachings because of a deep rooted lie, popular because it protects wicked government and gives the apathetic believer give an excuse to ignore all abuse, from civil injustice to the murdering of babies. Abortion could never be “lawful” should the world be undone. — It is impossible for rules of man to be LAW when they defy the law of God.

To call evil LAW is to call God EVIL!

1 Peter 2:13 and Titus 3:1 is also used to say we should obey every act of government. A foolish idea since neither Christ nor the Apostles did this. They defied governments, eluded police and opposed evil rulers. The key was that they did so under God’s guidance with principle and as peace makers. These passages speak of natural (God’s) law and being “lawful” men. YES we should indeed obey government when they represent real laws created by God (thou shalt not murder), but no lawful authority can exists expect that which God created.

YES there is a time for the Christian to suffer abuse and even death for his name. And there is a time to step up and defend the innocent against evil. To love our neighbor by delivering them from the thief at the door. For the apostles, it was not time to revolt utterly. The founding fathers felt it was time. What do we feel? This must be a matter of the spirit and unless we are in the spirit we will act as fools.

In Peter “Ordinance” is clarified with the reading the Greek which shows its’ meaning of “Original formation, G2937”. The passage refers to fundamental laws of nature and God for society. The original foundations, life, liberty and property. Not rules such as “wear your seat belt” or “give us your guns” but instead.. “let us not suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer.. (1 Peter 4:15). That is law.

John Locke’s work on law was key how the Founding of American law. — “Whereever law ends, tyranny begins, if the law be transgressed to another’s harm; and whosoever in authority exceeds the power given him by the law, and makes use of the force he has under his command, to compass that upon the subject, which the law allows not, ceases in that to be a magistrate; and, acting without authority, may be opposed, as any other man, who by force invades the right of another.” — John Locke

The above is a key foundation to civil authority. In America the excuses to not oppose evil make even less sense. The law is actually our rights as outlines in our Constitutions. Even my civil law American government is in fact acting as criminals. We are bound to oppose them not only by moral law but by the law of land.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24

Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God!

The wicked follow Satan, Christians follow Christ. — Rebellion is no vice when done in humility and obedience. It must tempered with righteousness and wisdom. Which leaves the hard question. WHEN do we defend by force? We can see we must always oppose what defies God; but vengeance is the lords and we should not seek to live by the sword. Yet Christ told his apostles to arm themselves. A conqueror lives by the sword. A Christian seeks peace. But sometimes peace requites defense. Self defense is a biblical principle, but when?

I’ve learned when faced with the situation of being abused, taking a stand, or defending my neighbor, the righteous choice becomes clear providing we are seeking Christ, rather than doctrines of men as excuse for inaction. I have defied government on various counts and in the most dire of them the choice was the clear. So we seek first the kingdom of God and ask for wisdom which he loves to give us.

I don’t say by these passages that one should resist every unlawful act at all material times. Balance this with the fact that Jesus had Peter pay the tax and that many Christians chose to speak out against evil while night physically fighting against it. Today I am simply taking away your excuse for silence and inaction in the face of evil. Jesus said, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. We must pick our battles.

Seek peace and love your neighbor; at times this may require an act of defense; that should be led of the spirit, not the flesh. Defend the weak, the featherless as we are commanded in Proverbs 31:8 and Psalm 24:11. To defend justice is the duty of every Christian. HOW to defend it in each instance is guided by the spirit in those who know God. Saying a silent prayer and walking away is not action. Jesus was a peace maker when he drove the corrupt from the temple with whips. Our savior was so politically hated that they murdered him. Praise God that he is risen.

If we honor the evil of tyrants and their law we are resisting God’s authority and word. Which leaves the inescapable conclusion. — To give honor to tyrants is treason against the King of Kings.

Gav, I have feared what is happening to our country, from the moment obozo got in office. I really got concerned, when he started with his executive orders, and the GOP sat around, and let hime get away with it!!! What happened to the “power of the purse”, I asked . In 8 yrs. we have gone from a free country, to one in serious debt, with our enemies all around us. What can we do? I am a 56 yr. old grandmom, who works part-time. I have been on facebook, and asked some guy, Jack Powers what can I do to help, and he sent me a phone number that has been disconnected! I fear some out there will play, on just that…peoples’ fears. I have followed politics for a very long time, and never have I been as concerned as I am now. What can I do to help? Our money is tight, thanks to obozo. My husband works in the oilfield, and his pay has decreased by about a third in the last two yrs.!! All our money for oil is being sent to the middle east, instead of being put into OUR economy, by our crooked president. What can we do? God help us!!
